Middle aged, single and living in rural central Italy...the country I've spent most of my life in although I was mostly educated in the UK. A career in tourism...resort rep, coach tour manager, local guide, cruise ships, hotels....replaced 16 years ago by one as a freelance translator working from home. I reckon I have a gsoh and make a good loyal friend, but can be sarcastic and ironic. Falling off a ladder in 1999 left me with some mobility and pain problems, but in March this year, a fixator was attached to my lower right leg and the hope is that in due course (another 8-18 months) I will be doing much better. Maybe not to pre-accident levels, but hopefully not too far off! I like reading, writing, sewing, flirting, cooking...and lots more besides. What I don't like is people who are full of themselves or who are looking to run before they can walk. I am looking for an email correspondence to get to know someone as friends...if eventually that leads somewhere, great, but I'm not in a hurry. No money to do a full subscription, so anyone interested will have to do the deed!
