Simply put I am middle aged female with 2 grown children, a nurse, a mother, a friend, a woman, a companion, a lover, not necessarily in that order. faithful honest confident wicked sense of humor occasionally sarcastic. Much less so now that I'm grown up. ( Sarcastic that is) Being a nurse I'm caring, compassionate, giving and considerate but will not be taken advantage of. I don't like games or drama, don't play them or participate. I expect honesty, partnership, loyalty and caring from those I love. I don't generally open up easily probably due to past hurts but we all have baggage. Mine is my past and life is too short to dwell on it so I try to learn a lesson and move on. I enjoy cooking travel cuddling my dogs, trying new things, music basketball, baseball, soccer. Am open to most anything and try to grow and learn something new every day. After 39 years of nursing there isn't much I haven't seen but sometimes when I least expect it I am surprised. I think you all are heroes male and female and am so very grateful for your service and sacrifice and that of your families. My dad and brother were Navy and another brother retired USMC. So I do understand a bit of what families go through. You all have the toughest job though. Being away from home for long periods protecting those you don't even know. Your sacrifice is beyond belief. Thank you.
